About Us
The College of Computer Training (CCT) was established to offer a unique educational experience to our full-time and part-time students, by delivering courses which will adequately provide them with the knowledge, practical skills, and opportunities to progress in the competitive and ever changing global IT environment. The lecturing staff of CCT has many years experience in the Information Technology industry and in third level education in Ireland.
At CCT there are part-time and full-time programmes in a wide range of IT areas, and at all the various levels. We believe that learning is lifelong and continuous and therefore provide a diversity of short-term professional and academic IT programmes which are constantly updated and improved.
We offer full-time courses leading to recognition from the following world-renowned IT bodies, institutions, and ministries: Irish Dept. of Education, University of Portsmouth, Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS), European Union Computer Society, Irish Computer Society, NCC Education, Institute of Commercial Management, Microsoft, CompTia, and CISCO. CCT is also a FAS registered training provider.

Post Graduate Diploma in ICT Management – CCT104
Course Overview
The overall aim of the programme is to present opportunities and significantly improve and develop the performance of its graduates in a wide range of I.T. Management positions, in small, medium or large organisations across the public and private sectors internationally. This will be achieved by the development of appropriate knowledge, skills, tools and techniques, which can be applied to advantage in the IT and business world.
MSc. in Strategic Business IT – CCT105
Course Overview
The MSc in Strategic Business IT is a full-time programme aimed at candidates from an Information Technology (IT) background. The course provides a thorough knowledge of IT in business, and will prepare the individual with the necessary academic skills and credits for the eventual continuation to a Master of Science (MSc) degree. There a strong IT theme running throughout the course and an opportunity to build on existing technical competencies to an advanced level.
EUCIP – CCT101
Course Overview
EUCIP (European Certification of Informatics Professionals) is a comprehensive foundation qualification for a range of computing jobs across all sectors. It also serves as a professional certification and competence development scheme aimed at IT practitioners and undergraduates. The objective of the programme is to offer certification of IT competence at an intermediate educational level to ensure a common standard, which is accepted by industry, government and public organisations. EUCIP will increase the labour market value of certified IT practitioners, and thus can contribute to the closing of the skills gap, which is threatening the continued development of the IT industry.
